Description:
Treaty Four of the Numbered Treaties. Also known as the qu'appelle treaty, it was signed between the Government and Indigenous groups - the Cree, Ojibwa, and Assiniboine peoples. The government recieved Indigenous land, like all the other Numbered Treaties. In exchange, they gave a large variety of payments depending on the recipients, tools, ammuntion, more reserve land, more schools, and rights to hunt, fish, or trap in all the government-given land, with a few exceptions.
