Description:
The threat of annexation by the United States had been steadily increasing since 1859, and it was Russia offered to sell Alaska to the United States. Russia lacked financial resources to have interests in the land, and they rather sell it to the United States, than it's European Rival. The Civil war delayed the sale, but they eventually sold it for 7.2 million dollars, about 165 million Canadian dollars now.Ajouté au bande de temps:
