*led a new interest in anatomy in the 14th century*in 1316 he wrote a book called Anathema, which became the standard dissection manual for over 200 years.
*in 1315 he supervised a public dissection permitted in Bologna but when the body did not fit Galens description, the body was thought to be worng!
