agreement and association
Description:
Brought into effect July 1, 2009. It was the first free trade agreement Canada established with any European nations. The countries included were; Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. Although it took resulted in very little economic trade, it has laid the groundwork for a potential free trade agreement with the European Union, which would be very economically significant, for all Canadians.
