Harry S. Truman publically announces that federal money for education, which gave students more ability to learn and made them better equipped for the future. This pool of money put into the education system was most likely caused by the increase of people's respect for science after the nuclear bomb tests in WWII.
As much as everything else was prospering during the 1950s, education began to prosper because of the economic prosperity that the U.S. had at the time.
