Description:
Both Britain and the United States were tired of the war. There was no clear winner. Both sides prepared to end the fight and sign a peace treaty on Christmas Eve 1814. It was considered the Treaty of Ghent. Once the treaty was signed the Americans sent a messenger to North America which didn't arrive on time. So the Armies in North America kept fighting and fighting until eventually, the Messenger arrived in March 1815.Ajouté au bande de temps:
