1 janv. 135 - Hadrian builds the Temple to Jupiter

Description:

Hadrian erected a temple to Jupiter on the Temple Mount with an equestrian statue of himself in front of it. It is very likely Hadrian used the same plan as the Temple to Jupiter he constructed in Baalbek, Lebanon which still stands today. The design incorporated a hexagonal "forecourt" and a rectangular temple with a statue in the courtyard between the two buildings.
