Description:
Hannibal from Carthage, leads an attack on Saguntum, an ally of Rome. This sparked an outbreak of the second punic war. He marches his entire army (including war elephants) through the Alps as a surprise attack, straight into Italy. Italy(Rome) had no way out so they had to make a decision, they sent a small army of men to Carthage and attempted to destroy it. Hannibal had no choice but to go back to save Carthage.
