1 janv. 1904 - 1904 - The National Child Labor Committee was formed after a series of muckraking journalists found conditions for children to be harsh and injurious to their health. The committee sought reform in laws governing child labor, and had many prominent supporters including Grover Cleveland. Despite their efforts that included photographing child labor conditions across the country, no real legislation was passed to the end of improving child labor until the New Deal era.
