1 janv. 1946 - 1946 - The Luce-Celler Act opened immigration from Asia for the first time since the Emergency Quota Act. It allowed 100 Filipinos and 100 Indians per year to immigrate to the United States. This was a significant, if gradual step forward toward the national origin equality that would characterize immigration in the late 20th century.
