Description:
Sulla established a wide-sweeping program to attempt to return the Republic to its former state. Much of the Senate's power was returned and the tribune's power was limited, among other reforms. Sulla resigned from dictatorship in 81 BC, served as consul in 80 BC, and then retired to his villa.
