Description:
Made out of wood by the Fang peoples of southern Cameroon. A container that was made to hold the bones and ashes of a person. They hold relics of people that died. Reliquary- container for relics. They were not buried and instead stored for the elders in the community to watch. They were made for someone who was a great man, they most likely had high status and lived a good life.
