Description:
After nearly three years of neutrality, the US entered WWI due to the apparent effect that the war could have on the US. Already, the US was economically tied to the Allied powers, but acts of aggression from Germany, such as the sinking of the Lusitania and the Zimmerman Telegram prompted the US to formally join the war.
