18 janv. 1850 - Taiping rebellion (1850-1864)

Description:

The Taiping rebellion was the beginning of the fall of the last Chinese Dynasty, the Qing dynasty. Large scale rebellions in the middle 19th century genuinely reflected the increasing poverty and discontent of the Chinese peasantry. The evenly distributed lands throughout the elite aggravated the peasants, leading to rebellion. The Taiping defeat occurred in 1864, after the suicide of the leader, Hong Xiuquan.
