Description:

In 1941, Japan bombed the U.S Naval fleet at Pearl Harbor. Japan needed to take over the Philippines to establish a base to access oil and to be able to take over the rest of the pacific. The Philippines was U.S territory at the time however. This attack led to the U.S joining WW2, and is a very significant event because it introduced the most important force that would impact the tide of the war greatly.
