Description:
The Harper Ferry raid was an attempted slave revolt on the weapons arsenal in Harpers Ferry, Virginia, led by John Brown. The raid was stopped by military forces, and Brown was sentenced to hanging. Brown was seen as both a martyr and a terrorist by the north and south respectively, once again causing more seperation.
