Description:

An election in which incumbent George Washington was re-elected. Similar to the previous one, Washington ran virtually unopposed, allowing him to take every state again. The race for vice president was more competitive, and was mainly between incumbent John Adams and NY Governor George Clinton, the former of whom won by 27 votes.
