-On august 18th, 1920, women were given the right to vote for the first time-It was positive as women were finally being treated equally as men, at least in their minds
-Some men believed that women shouldn’t be able to vote and should focus on housework and motherhood, not politics
-I rated it a +2 because it was a big deal for women being their ability to finally vote and it was one more step of closing the barrier between men and women
