24 mars 1774 - Intolerable Acts

Description:

After the Boston Tea Party, Parliament was beyond angry and to punish Massachusetts they passed the Intolerable Acts in 1774 which were a series of harsh laws. The Intolerable Acts closed the Boston Port, took away self-governing in Massachusetts, British soldiers were allowed in colonial buildings, and extended the boundaries to Quebec. The colonist were outraged as well, they thought Britain was taking it too far and responded with making the First Continental Congress. The colonist joined together to boycott British good and prepare the war that was coming soon.
