5 oct. 1789 - The Bread March
Description:
- Bad weather led to bad crops which led to a low amount of bread and high prices
- Women needed to feed their family, so the marched all the way to Versailles to confront the King
- Some got bread, but majority didn't, and this is when Marie Antoinette supposedly said, "Let them eat cake!"
- The King and Queen moved to Paris with the group of protesters
