Description:
After 3000 Iranian students attacked the U.S. embassy in Tehran, the U.S. launched Operation Eagle Claw, a joint rescue operation designed to free the 66 hostages taken by the aggressors. Due to poor communication and planning, the mission was a failure. The U.S. lost 8 service members, 7 helicopters, and a C-130.
