- russian history explained: afraid of the outside world bc historically always attacked
- communism explained: inevitable conflict but communists will win
- stalin explained: totalitarian dictatorship retained by maintaining fear of outside + hostility as inevitable + there must always be an enemy
- assessment: ussr unable to start ww3 bc they're weak but they will target weak countries who are easily manipulated by communism for stalin to have easy victories
- call for u.s. to push back against ussr intrusions in weak countries
