The Asteroid Belt is classified in the Asteroid group. The Asteroid Belt was first discovered in 1801. Another fact is that the Asteroid Belt has over thousands of asteroids, perhaps millions still undiscovered. An additional fact is that the four largest objects in the belt are Ceres, Pallas, Vesta, and Hygiea.
