Description:
The Qin dynasty took place after the Ming dynasty and was created by the nomadic people called the Manchus. Many Chinese people supported the Manchus, which meant there was pretty little resistance. The Qing dynasty was known for its use of the civil service exams. They used these exams to fill government positions and were advantageous because it wasn't based on money, but instead skill. In total there were over 1,000,000 degree holders that were competing for 20,000 administrative positions. These exams were influential because they made the administration more powerful, reliable, and educated. (4.1, 4.2, 4.3)
