30 juin 1848 - Hakka
Description:
The Hakka people were a Chinese minority - ethnic divisions led to them being treated poorly and being given jobs that merited no respect (janitorial, funeral-related work etc) and worsened the ethnic divide in China. One Hakka, Hong Xiuquan, went on to instigate the Taiping Revolution, and initally used anti-Chinese rhetoric to draw the Hakka to his cause.
