1 juill. 1863 - Advantages the Union had over the Confederacy: 1. Population - the Union had many more troops. 2. Industrialization - the Union was able to create more artillery with the factories they had. 3. Railroads - the Union was able to transport Union soldiers and military supplies much faster and more efficiently than the Confederacy. The Northern advantages seemed to "kick in" at Gettysburg where Robert E Lee lost the battle and the war took a turn in favor of the Union.
