Description:

William Sherman would best be known for his March to the Sea in which he completely demolished the southern economy. The March took place over a month, and in that time he cut up all the railroads, burned up many towns, and freed thousands of slaves. He basically won the war for us, because with the entire Southern economy in shreds, no one in the South could do anything to help with the war.
