Description:

Moroni and Pahoran lead the Nephite army to surround the city of Nephihah. However, Moroni did not want to engage in a lengthy siege. So, in the dark of night he crept up the city walls and surveyed the army of the Lamanites. What he found was that the entire army was encamped by the main gates of the city.

So, Moroni returned to his own army and had them secret construct many ladders in the night. They then used them to scale the wall, and the entire Nephite army entered the city on the far side from the gate.

When the morning came the Lamanites found that the Nephites were in the city, and, being terrified at this turn of events, fled out of the city without fighting.

Thus Nephihah was retaken without the death of a single Nephite.
