Margaret Atwood was born in Ottawa, Canada but lives in Toronto. With a degree from the university, she started writing at an early age and is known both as a novelist and a poet. She often writes about young women in search of an identity. Some of her famous novels are "Alias Grace" (1996), "The Blind Assassin" (2000), which won the Brooker Prize, and "Oryx and Crake" (2003).
