2 juill. 1890 - Sherman Anti-Trust Act
Description:
Sherman Anti-Trust Act- July 2nd, 1890
The Sherman Anti-Trust Act was the first act that outlawed monopolistic business practices. This act was the first act passed to prohibit trusts. Several states had passed laws similar to this, but none directly about monopolies. Reducing competition is always good for owners of businesses, but it isn’t good for all the consumers of these products, which is far more people than just business owners. The government passed this law to make it more difficult for business mergers to make the monopolies they once had.
