Lexington and Concord were the battles that kick-started the beginning of the American Revolutionary War. Beginning in Lexington, a battle between 700 British troops vs. 77 militiamen resulted in 8 dead and 9 wounded militiamen dead and one redcoat injured. A fire broke out in Concord and the “shot heard round the world” was fired.
