Description:
The French and Indian War was part of the 7 Years War fought between France and Great Britain. It was a fight over who took control of the land in North America. It began when France’s expansion into the Ohio River conflicted with the claims of Britain’s territory. Later on, Spain joined France when they realized their land was in danger of being taken over as well. The war resulted in Britain seizing control of Canada and Florida, while letting France keep its West sugarlands and giving Louisiana to Spain.
