Description:
The Stono Rebellion was a large slave revolt in South Carolina. At this time, slaves raided firearms stores and killed around 20 white people. Many of these slaves were found and killed or tried to escape. Eventually, the slaves that fled were found and executed. After the rebellion in order to ensure that it would not happen again, authorities tightened control over slaves and passed more strict laws surrounding slave life.Ajouté au bande de temps:
