24 févr. 1803 - Madison vs. Marbury
Description:
Madison vs. Marbury was arguably the most important Supreme Court case in American history. It was the first case in which the Supreme Court applied the principle of judicial review which is the idea that the actions of the executive and legislative branches of government are subject to review and possible invalidation by the judicial branch. This was important because it established the Supreme Court as a part of its own branch separated from Congress and the President.
