14 juin 1787 - New Jersey Plan
Description:
The New Jersey Plan was presented as a counter-option to the Virginia Plan. The Virginia Plan campaigned for representation based on the size of each state. This would mean that the representation of large states would overpower the representation of the smaller states. It was also centered around more power in the national and state government system as well as a separation of power between branches of government. This New Jersey Plan proposed a unicameral legislature that contained equal representatives for each state no matter size.
