Edgar Allan Poe is a famous writer that lived during the Romantic Period. He lived as a fosterchild in his early years and later married his 13 year old cousin who sadly died at the age of 20 due to tuberculosis.
Edgar started writing at 13 years old. He firstly worked as an literary critic with good reputation but later on started writing fulltime. He was the first writer to be self employed and he also employed another to support him. Allan Poe did not make a lot of may at that time but is nowadays a famous writer with a great legacy.
Allan Poe wrote dramatic stories and was the inventor of detictive fiction. His carrier started to florish with the reliase of his book The Raven. His most famous book is The tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque.
Sadly Edgar Allan Poe died at 40 years old, the reason to his death is uncertain but the rumors says that he was suffering from a depression and that he possible took his own life.
