1 juill. 1863 - Battle of Gettysburg

Description:

The Battle of Gettysburg was the bloodiest battle in the entirety of the Civil War. General Robert E. Lee lost about 28,000 soldiers, while the union lost 23,000. The union did end up winning the battle and showed that the war was starting to move in their favor. After the battle, Abraham Lincoln gave his famous Gettysburg Address, where he called the Civil War America’s “new birth of freedom”.
