Description:

Jesus was born in a town called Bethlehem and in our dating system Jesus marks the shift from BC to AD. Jesus's mother, Mary, was married to a carpenter named Joseph but Christians think God, not Joseph, was Jesus's father. Jesus attracted many followers by influencing them with his message but that challenged the authority of political leaders so Roman leaders arrested him in AD 30. Shortly after his arrest, Jesus was killed by crucifixion.
