Description:

Shortly after the death of Korihor Alma responds to a report that the Zoramites were corrupting the true faith. Being grieved at these reports he resolved to organize a missionary effort to reclaim them.

He took with him the following men: Amulek, Ammon, Aaron, Omner, Zeezrom, and his sons Shiblon and Corianton. Himni, the youngest of the sons of Mosiah, he left in charge at Zarahemla, along with his oldest son, Helaman.

When they came to the City of Zoram they were astonished by the mode of worship, for it was something they had never seen before.
In the center of the city was a large tower, called the Rameumptom. Once a week the people met and, one at a time would climb to the top, offer a rote prayer, and then never speak of God again until the next week's meeting.

After witnessing this Alma gathered his brethren together and blessed them all. Then they all went out to preach.
