Description:

After joining the Lamanites Amlici stirred them up and convinced a Lamanite king to join them in again attacking the Nephites.
**Note that it was likely a lesser king among the Lamanites, and not the King of all the Lamanites. The reason is that at this time the King of all the Lamanites had already been converted to the gospel and would not have engaged in such a war.**

This combined army then attacked and were again met by Alma and the Nephite army in the same place as the first battle.
Alma, being strengthened by the Lord, slew Amlici. He also engaged the Lamanite King, but the king fled, being guarded in his flight by his personal guards. The king's guards were all killed and the Lamanites were defeated.

However, in this combat Alma was injured and was convelescing for some months afterwards.
