17 mai 1954 - Brown v. Board of Education
Description:
This landmark supreme court cased ruled that the policy of separate but equal public education system was unconstitutional. It overturned the previous Plessy v. Ferguson ruling that said school could be separate but equal. It was slow to take effect because many southern states hated the ruling and would not enforce it, but still it was a victory for civil rights in America.
