World War 2 was the largest war in World history and many American lost their lives fighting the axis powers of Germany, Italy and Japan. America entered the war after Pearl Harbor and they were apart of the war until Japan surrendered and the war was effectively over. The war was devastating for all European nations involved because it was fought on their turf, however very little of the war happened in America.
