Description:

Two years after Limhi was made king the priests of Noah, who had been hiding in the wilderness, kidnapped a number of the daughters of the Lamanites while they were singing and dancing in Shemlon, a place near to the people of Zeniff.

When the Lamanites found that their daughters were taken they blamed the people of Zeniff and prepared for war.
Limhi saw their preparations and prepared his people to meet them. In this defensive battle the people of Zeniff drove the Lamanites back, and in the process captured their King.

It was Gideon who reminded everyone of the priests of Noah, and was able to convince the king of the Lamanites that they were to blame. After this the Lamanites withdrew and there was once again piece.
