5 sept. 1774 - First Continental Congress
Description:
The first continental congress was held in Philadelphia with delegates from 12 of the 13 colonies present. It took place over roughly two months and was mostly a debate over the right course of action regarding the British. About half the colonists wanted to resolve ties with the British by any means and about half were prepared to severe ties and become independent. The most important part about the congress was that it was the first time the colonies would be united by a common goal.
