9 févr. 1951 - The Institution of Rehabilitation Medicine at New York University Medical Center was opened by Howard Rusk. Work on innovations like an electric typewriter, mouth sticks, and better prosthetics for individuals with disabilities were studied here. People with disabilities were also employed here as part of the research staff.
