6 avr. 1814 - Napoleon Defeated and Exiled
Description:
Napoleon was severely weakened after his losses at Russia, something that would eventually lead to his officers mutinying against him. He eventually abdicated, and the Treaty of Paris signed sent him to the island of Elba and restored the French monarchy. Despite the favorable terms of his exile, Napoleon would escape, and ultimately be defeated and exiled a second time. The fall of Napoleon marked the rise of British imperialism and peace across the European continent.
