Description:

The term Columbian Exchange refers to the introduction of certain animals goods and diseases between the eastern and western world. Many animals were introduced to the Americas during this time one of the most influential being the horse. The western world gave the east many new plants and spices such as the banana and sugarcane. The europeans also introduced modern weapons to the native peoples in exchange for animal skins and other goods not found in Europe at the time. The most important part of this exchange was by far the diseases brought over by Europeans which killed many of the Natives.
