Not too long After Washington’s Farewell Address and his advice to not meddle in foreign affairs, America gets into a war. The war of 1812 was fought between America and Britain. Tension between Britain and America eventually leads to this war. Indians were afraid of American’s encroaching on their territory so they fought alongside the British against the Americans. During this war in 1814 the White House was burned down by the British. Eventually the war ends in a draw and there is no resolution.
