Unification
Unification is a theme that brought the United States together and showed the relations between colonists. The Five-Nation Confederacy was an example of a unified unit before the colonists. Whether people unified to fight against others, Albany Congress, or they unified to declare their independence and to create a new nation. The act of unification caused rebellion, but created the greatest nation today, The United States of America.
Rebellion
The Native Americans proved this during the Pueblo Revolt. Shay’s Rebellion against the Articles of Confederation created a new Constitution. Each rebellion that was effective and caused change, helped create the United States. As a whole the Declaration of Independence was an act of rebellion and it developed into the greatest nation.
