American life was affected because of these revolutions, and men and women that worked in factories became a new class of people. The farmers, lawyers, clerks, and merchants of the time make new middle class. Also, factory owners and high corporates created a new high class known as the business elite. The Business Elite lived in urban villages and areas. The market and industrial revolutions were the turning points in society changes when looking at the movements leading up to the Civil War.
